Its been a while since I updated this blog, trying to find the time its been hard.
So what has happened?
Inverness Cali survived for another year in the top flight and only a few games into the new season after a rocky start are sitting in fourth spot.
So what of the summer, long and not wet (honest). It has been great with fine weather all round.
Raining today though.
Can't beat the North or the North West Coast on a fine day.

Well two weeks on and its all over for Inverness CT going down 3-4 to Aberdeen has put paid to any hope of reaching the top 6 this season, just as well that Gretna were in the league this year as they are the ones going down.
Despite giving a good performance and playing most of second half with only ten men they lost to an injury time goal. At the end of the day a draw wasn't good enough either.
Now it is time to look to next season and accept that there is another year in Scotland's top flight.

Well the day is over and both teams lost...
Scotland went down 23-20 and just avoid the wooden spoon and finish second bottom.
Inverness CT went down 1-0 to Falkirk, just as well there is a team called Gretna.

The weather right now, and that is important (13:00),it sunny and hot, well warm at least. Spring in the air today. And the street full of kids!
Big day for both Scotland and Inverness Caley Thistle both needs wins today.
Scotland to avoid the wooden spoon and start the revival.
Inverness Caley Thistle to stop the rot and start moving back up that table.
Come on ye both!!!

See the latest poll on the blog.... Click here.
What age would you let your child go and play out of your sight?
Following TWO complaints from people in the street what would you do?
Kids playing in a street, safe and sound with in sight of families, a couple of householders complain to the police (do not even talk to the childrens families). So far no damage has been done nor has there been anything else of note.
In this day and age would you let you child leave your street to roam a local park which is some distance off.
Answer the poll today, see the results.
Namesakes opinion:-
Kids are kids and it is hard enough to grow-up in this world, why make it more difficult with threatening behaviour towards them. If they are causing concern then talk to them and their families ~ why go flat out and call the police they are busy enough dealing with those kids and youths that are allowed to walk the streets.

The Great Switch Off
The debate is on in Inverness with a council meeting on Thursday (6th March) on a proposal to reduce the number of street lights in the Highlands, out with towns and city centres.
The benefit of which would be a reduced Carbon Footprint for the Highlands, although the council assures everyone that the energy used is from Green Sources and the ability to see what we have to drive for miles to see ~ the night sky.
Namesakes opinion is that it does not go far enough, we would like to see the amount of lighting used with in the city and towns reduced to a minimum through light dimming and more focused use of lighting.
We need to be able to appreciate the night sky and the wonders it brings but also feel safe when we walk in the streets at night.

After a stormy night with high winds and rain things seem to have settle down and the sun is beginning to shine again, although there is still rain in the air.
